Tomorrow Tuesday May 7th, is National Teacher Appreciation Day, and the perfect opportunity to shower the teachers in our childrens’ lives with our gratitude. We can each remember excellent teachers in our lives that helped direct us down the our individual life paths. They helped shape our interests and passions and instilled a sense of confidence and determination in us. A great teacher can change the world, we really believe that. And while they might deserve a whole lot more than a small gift, here’s four last minute ideas we think will bring a smile to their faces!
Thanks to Heather of River and Bridge for designing the free printable cards to accompany these gifts!
First, “Thanks for helping me blossom!” is a simple stash of green bottled sodas, a bendy straw and a couple cupcake liners trimmed like the petals of a flower.
Second, “You’re a cut above.” Heirloom scissors are fast becoming one of our favorite items to gift. They are not only an everyday necessity, but when they are this beautiful, they are also display worthy. West Elm makes a great pair here.
Third, “thanks for showing me the ropes” with a little jar of sweets to get them through.
And finally, we love the reusable fast food style soda cups, with the sweat proof glass that keeps all its contents icy cold. Toss in some classic No. 2 pencils with the “thanks for keeping me sharp” card and you’re set!
All these gifts are grocery store finds, so, perfect for the procrastinators among us! Thanks again to River and Bridge for these awesome free printables!
Heather lives in Orange County with her husband and two little ones. She runs River and Bridge, which offers stylish and sophisticated invitations and stationery for kids (and grown-ups too!)
When we brought her on for this project we thought it was too perfect that the first notecards she ever created were for her son’s preschool teachers last Teacher Appreciation Week!
Heather recently launched a monthly Bridge Box that ships stationery right to your house! How many times have we needed a thank you note or card for a gift and wished one would magically appear? Bridge Box is such a great idea!
