We’ve talked about the mom uniform, or “Mamattire” as we call it, a couple times before (see here, here and here) but today we’re switching it up and showing four ways to dress up one simple wardrobe necessity: the maxi skirt!
We love clothing designer, Leanne Barlow’s version because it has a slight flare making it that much easier to run and play with your littlest buddies, yet its fit is flattering and high quality enough to last you all day and then head out for a little-buddy-free night on the town. Even better, its stretch allows wear during pregnancy (see their cute pregnant model rocking it here.)
We love how simply switching up the top can change the whole vibe of the maxi. A knotted tee is casual and simple enough for lounging around the house, but doesn’t feel sloppy. Pairing the stripes with a lacy textured blouse immediately dresses it up for lunch with friends. A graphic tee and leather jacket add a quick bit of edge for a party or date night, then a flowing top with interesting sleeves and a killer pair of heels can take you to a wedding or meeting with ease.
Since this maxi is such an awesome staple, Leanne has graciously offered one winner three maxis – a $180 value – and all you have to do is head to our Instagram, comment on this post’s shout-out, follow @leannebarlow & @smallfryblog, and cross your fingers! Good luck!
