It’s crazy to think that Jude’s Peach Picking First Birthday party was already a year ago! Jude is a little water baby to say the least, so Jenna went with a poolside fish theme and it was darling!
First, she started with this invite via Tiny Prints:
She used bright orange and different hues of blue throughout for a bright Summery feel.
For the adults she had a few types of sushi, salted edamame, “shell” pasta salad, fruit and beverages.
For the littlest guests she created a “Goldfish Bar” with a few types of Goldfish Crackers:
And she even made kid’s sushi! To do this at home you simply cut the crusts off of thin pieces of bread. Then using a rolling pin or large heavy weighted object, flatten the bread down. This will allow you to roll it, and setting it seam side down helps keep them nice and tight until you’re ready to serve! Jenna made peanut butter and jelly, and also thin deli style sliced turkey and cheese!
The red velvet cake was gorgeous layers of ombre fondant and a darling fish on top.
Before the party started she filled the pool with beach balls and then each guest got to take one home as a favor. Adults and kids alike had a blast playing in the pool with them and it created such a festive and colorful setting! Happy birthday, Juder Pop!

August 28, 2013 at 11:28 pmLove this party theme! What little tyke doesn’t love goldfish, and the children’s “sushi” is so easy and adorable! Great ideas. I think here in Hawaii this would be an awesome theme for a beach party! Maybe for my little’s fourth bday next year! 🙂 thanks for sharing the great ideas.
ALOHA!
