nicole’s picks

For the rest of this week we’re recounting our favorite posts from the past year. Next up: Nicole!

“The Backyard Tent was one of the first adventures we took when starting Small Fry. The day was perfect, the weather was flawless and the kiddos loved the simple two minute tent we built in the yard.nicolefavorites

Mini Art Books:

The art books we made with Dallas created such a beautiful experience for the kids to express their creativity. Dash is always doodling and coloring, and keeping them all in one spot, one book, and recording his thoughts and memories that way each day was, in my opinion, inspired!

(No) Fireworks:

One of my favorite subjects we cover on Small Fry are the Science Projects. Watching the kids faces as the experiments come to life is priceless. The milk and food coloring fireworks was one of those where they were completely blown away, thinking they were experiencing magic, as the science project unfolded. I think children should have experiences like this daily.

Small Fry Valentine’s:

This Valentine’s Day was one for the books! Designer Jenna Robert designed our boys the most beautiful cards to give to their friends. You need to check out Hayes and Quinn’s, too, but Dash’s was the one that stole my heart. It was so perfect for his Super Hero mindset. He truly believes he is super, as do I.”

Love the idea of (No) fireworks. Seems like a fun little activity I will be trying with my young ones. 🙂
