small fry 2.0

Part of our birthday celebration was to give Small Fry a little redesign. We are so excited with the results, husband and wife team Tori and Jordan are crazy good! They were so intuitive, asking questions and proactively working to better our site as well as the reader’s experience and we’ve absolutely loved working with them!SMALL FRY Redesign

Here’s a little more about what they offer:

Tori: I work with clients to take their projects and dreams, whether it’s a birth announcement or a logo for their new business, and visually express those ideas through colors, textures, patterns, and graphics, both on and offline. I believe that every person, every business is different and I help them find their voice through the designs I create.

See more of Tori’s work on Tori Bee Design and her Facebook page.

Jordan: I design and code beautiful, functional websites. I work with my clients to gain a clear understanding of their goals and then design a site that helps them achieve those goals. Using the latest coding methods, I build sites that uniquely represent you and your brand and create memorable online experiences.

View Jordan’s portfolio here and follow him on Twitter here.

From our perspective, they required minimal guidance, were speedy in every aspect, but especially in response to our endless emails, phone calls and texts. They met each request with a warm and unfazed response, and their promise to us that a site’s design process should be fun, was definitely kept.

Now that the site is ready to go we’re thrilled share the new features with you, starting with the shop! Keep reading to see them all.

Small Fry Shop: So many of our correspondences are questions about our favorite products for new babies, new moms, big kids and the like. We thought it would be fun to create a place for you to see those favorites, and have it linked right to our favorite online shopping haunt, Amazon. Check out all our picks here. Or you can access it on the sidebar. We’ll be updating often and will be sure to let you know when we do.

Post Schedule: We’re motivated more than ever to bring you excellent content. Something we’ve found over the last year of posting five times a week, is that oftentimes we just posted something to fill the day, rather than truly inspire and help ignite adventure like we preach so often. With that being said, we’re not going to hold ourselves to a rigid post schedule, we’re going to hold ourselves to quality content. Don’t fret, we’ll always alert you via social media or your favorite feed reader when a new post is up! Tip: The Feedly iPhone application is wonderful (follow us here) and of course BlogLovin is another awesome online option. We’re thinking we’ll take Wednesdays off for now, so nothing too crazy!

Sponsored Content: We are restricting sponsored content as much as possible in this new year. We worked with so many awesome companies, and even more that we couldn’t fit into the schedule, and all have been companies we’re proud to promote. Continuing with our goal of even better content, once we’ve hit that magic number each month, that is it for the promoted posts.

If you have any tips or suggestions for us, anything you’d like to see more or less of this next year, or even just a completely unrelated question for Jenna, Nicole or Emily, please leave it in the comments, we look forward to it!

(By the way, Jenna, my friend Becky Giles just told me today she reached out to you about working on some projects near and dear to her heart, and how sweet and responsive you were. It delights me to see you three using your site for such good. Keep up the wonderful work).

Ah this is great. I have come across a number of husband and wife teams, in fact I purchased my template from a husband and wife team. Funny the husband always does the coding and the wife always the designing. Hee hee there must be something the nesting/hunting&gathering theory! Great blog. Following via Bloglovin.
