Rethink, Restock

We’re back with our second assignment for the Made to Matter, Handpicked by Target six week challenge! For this week, Target sent us into their store to stock on options that are a little better for us. We all made picks based on our goals we made last week (see the post here!) and using the Made to Matter section made it all such a breeze.

Rethink, Restock | Made to Matter Challenge

Jenna who is our resident label translator found so many awesome options to incorporate to help us reach our goals all day long! We snagged something for every meal and in between. Here are some of our favorites for breakfast: Simply Balanced cage free organic eggs, topped with Horizon shredded cheese and Simply Balanced’s flavorful chicken sausage. For lunch: Evol quesadillas and a Plum Super Smoothie.

For a quick dinner: Whole wheat pasta and organic pasta sauce. And for snacks we can stash in the car for on the go we found freeze-dried peaches, Blue corn chips, our boys’ favorite, White Chocolate Macadamia Nut Clif Bars and Vita Coco Very Cherry Berry Coconut water.

Rethink, Restock | Made to Matter ChallengeWe found so many wonderful boxed and prepackaged options to go along with our regular fresh favorites. With items that are free of dyes, artificial flavoring, made with whole grain, Non GMO and so many things that we have come to look for as parents, really just check out this haul!

The next part of the challenge was a bigger job for some of us (cough Emily and Nicole) as we exchanged our favorite guilty snacks for these wonderful new options!

Glad target is making an effort. I would love to see more items with no additives (xantham gum, carageenan) … love organic eggs, milk, and fruits and veggies – the more options the better!

We don’t buy too many packaged food items but I have bought and loved some of their Simply Balanced line. I’ve even bought their gluten free pasta in a pinch and it was very good! We’ll continue to support their decision by buying as much of the organic/natural items as possible.

I’ve been loving the healthier food options Target is now offering. One of my main tasks as a wife and mama, is to provide my family {as well as myself} with ‘cleaner’ food choices. And since I’m at Target on a weekly basis, it makes it that much easier!
