We are always thrilled when we’re asked to host an Alt Summit Dinner, it really is the best part of the conference for us! We loved being able to create this vision with Munchkin! Since our brands both represent childhood, we knew we wanted to create the party around being a Kid at Heart. We’ve got a whole slew of photos if you’d like to see!
The party is this a-way, after the jump!
Our design aesthetic is quite minimal so we stuck to a tight color palette, white and black plus primary colors and Munchkin’s colors mixed in. The tables were lined with white butcher paper and jars of crayons so guests could draw on the tables.
We knew we wanted to bring the theme to each element so we worked with Dylbug for these custom alphabet plates.
We had some of our favorite kid’s party vendors come like our favorite balloon guy, such a cutie:And a team of face painters that always nails it at our boys’ parties! Instead of animal faces or fairy wings we had them stick to bold colors and shapes.
It was so fun seeing all our guests look and feel like kids again!
Sipping out of their Miracle Cups:
They were all more than good sports, but excited to let loose with us, too!
Wearing viking masks and flower hats, hi Solly Baby!
We loved looking around and catching little pretty glimpses like this:
For more hands on activities, we had pub tables set up with favorite games and crafts, like Jenga, all painted up in Munchkin’s colors!
And Pick up Sticks:
And a beading station for jewelry or boondoggle.
The Dream Team! We have loved working with both Sarah and Katie, so when they both migrated TOGETHER to Munchkin from Honest Co. and Land of Nod respectively, we were so excited! Check out their new site, it’s amazing!
They were so generous and gifted dinner guests a giant bag of favorite Munchkin products. After several years of using Munchkin before we teamed up, we are long time fans so sprinkling them throughout the party for decor was a no-brainer. Like the Drink Box Holders for the Crazy Straws:
We were so stoked to hear that Munchkin would be using our theme throughout the rest of the year at their other functions, if you’re using the Munchkin at Heart theme, here’s some awesome products that will help you set the mood:
White Hot Bowls (they change color when they’re too hot!) for easy snacking. // A Duck Tub to hold ice and cold drinks. // Miracle Cups for refills and no spills. // Foam Letters & Number packs to direct guests to the food, activities or even place cards. // The Drink Box holder for snacks, utensils, straws, and more! // Grippy Dots for pops of color on the windows, walls and floors. // White Hot plates for entrees or holding craft supplies.
Munchkin also had us all dress in a modern interpretation of our favorite outfits as kids. We wish we would’ve had everyone share about their outfits, we saw Mickey Mouse t-shirts, overalls and baseball hats, Captain America, twirly skirts, it was so cute! For us, Emily sported a top and skirt from H&M that reminded her of “Units” (where are our early 90s kids?) and Nicole always wanted to be a waitress so she interpreted that with a Zara button-up and slim black pants.
On top of the super generous slew of products gifted to our guests from Munchkin we added a few favorites as well! Art supplies from Yoobi, Olliblocks from Caravan Shoppe and luxe leather zip pouches from Freshly Picked:
And now for the food! We have a whole post dedicated to the amazing spread for you tomorrow, but how amazing are our husband and wife chefs Marco and Aubrey Niccoli?Okay, just a peek:
