TMNT Birthday Party

As promised, here is our Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle party for Target!  Part of the party’s agenda was to first have each kiddo decide what Turtle they wanted to “be” for the party. Then we provided the Turtle Shells and accessories for each guest and based the activities on what each Turtle (and child) is good at. It was a celebration of individuality and what makes each of them special — they loved it! Not to mention there was a life size assault van, so that always helps!

Each guest was instructed to wear the colors of his or her chosen turtle and had party favors that coordinated. It immediately added such a festive flair!

Then a simple bakery cake with a Michelangelo action figure a top:

Pizza and green snacks, of course, were on the menu:

To get to their assault van and start their mission they first had to wade through the sewer sludge (aka streamers hung in the doorway.) How darling are these little turtle shells?

Once through, they had a blast assuming their roles and fighting crime. Donatello was especially fearsome.

For this van we used a big-screen TV box and a whole lot of Duct Tape! But all that work was more than worth it to see their eyes light up and watch them jump up and down with excitement. Even better, since it was taped into submission this van is pretty indestructible  and has had lots of play time outdoors with no problem.
