Yay for LA! Edit: For those who’ve asked my sister toned my hair this pink shade! It’s not incredibly permanent, but I’ve loved it! Locals, she works at Salon K in Provo, ask for Bethany! She’s awesome.
Wanting to keep things as easy as possible I packed 1-layer dresses and flat sandals. Day one in this super buttery $28 dress (I am wearing a large here.) Then my new Summer favorites – these pom pom wrap sandals kill me. So much fun and they give a punch to even the most basic outfits. Then my next Summer staple are these round sunglasses – the Chloe Carlina – I found replicas online and ordered a bunch of extras I’ll be sure and let you know when I list them online!
Day two: Dressed for the pool with these retro denim gym shorts, knee high gladiators, a gray tee and kimono. Loving that kimono layer on top of body con. I love showing my belly off but my back and butt are so lumpy (not in a cute way) it’s nice to keep those covered 😉
Brought a whole stash of Neutrogena for that harsh California sunshine. I’ve always used their oil-free face sunscreen but am loving the Wet Skin formula for kids! Worrying about them being perfectly dry when they need a touch up is for the birds.
Reading: Gearing up for those long nursing sessions I picked up Grace (who wasn’t immediately smitten with her after the September Issue) and already cracked it open. She is so great. So funny and has led such an interesting life. If you’ve been in my house the bright orange book fits riiiight in.Eating: LA was FULL of awesome food. I was especially in love with Gracias Madre. Russ and I always say we if we had a chef we could be Vegan. I’ll take GM’s chef anyday. Everything was so good and I truly didn’t miss the proteins or even the cheese I never thought I’d say. The group ate at Joan’s on Third, Magnolia Bakery, Lemonade, Bottega Louie, Pie Hole, Eggslut and a few more I can’t remember now. ALL AMAZING!
Anticipating: Of course. After a super in-depth ultrasound and measurements my doctor is guessing this baby is already close to 7 pounds. I just hit 35 weeks today so I am a little bit unnerved! Trying to stay zen about it and keep him cooking at least a couple more weeks. Taking lots of baths late at night to calm those Braxton Hicks and avoding any sudden movements.
