Stains 101

Our next stop with our amazing Maytag (remember the one that holds 22 towels?) washer and dryer is STAIN REMOVAL! Having a working knowledge of the best ways to get stains out of clothes makes us feel like superheroes. Like, we’re really doing this mom/adult thing, and we’re rocking at it. It helps to have the right tools on hand and here’s what we suggest for our STAINS 101!Stains101First, make sure your washer and dryer are doing the best work for your stain. This washer has our favorite options for stains, a deep-fill setting and a PowerWash® agitator. The deep-fill is for the really tough stuff that needs extra room to work it out. The PowerWash® agitator is concentrated and efficient movement to get those stains to lift. Both options came in especially handy after we went sledding one day and didn’t realize until the first run it was a thin layer of slush on top of a thick layer of mud. 😉Screen Shot 2017-02-15 at 10.31.32 AM

Here’s a pic of that swoon-worthy Maytag feature of hidden detergent compartments. WE CANT GET OVER IT! Stains 101And now, for the stain talk. Here’s what we know … Baby Poop? Put it in the sun until it dries out. Seriously. Then wash it like normal. Chocolate? (Always fun trying to tell the difference between the two, good luck!) Scrape it off, flip the garment inside out and treat the back of the stain with soda water! Then wash like normal. Stains 101Chocolate,eggs, oil and butter: Scrape off, flip the stain and soak in cold soda water and then spray with a spot treatment!

And here’s a handful of our most common stains at home for your pin or print pleasure!Stains 101

Okay guys, let us have it? What are your favorite stain removal tricks? We know you’ve got lots up your sleeves!
