fall trends 2020: shin boot

This installment of Styled 4 Ways started with a vote on 4 boot trends! boot trends 2020 | small fry

I put it to a vote and the mid shin platform clunker won (with this hiking boot in a very close second!)

What I love about this boot “The Renoir” is that it hits a bit higher on the leg – right under the calf and it makes your leg look so shapely and trim. The platform and semi-lug sole are super on trend and the gore paneling makes them easier to get on and off then a lot of slim fit boots I’ve tried, while maintaining that super fit shaft.

STYLED 4 WAYS

CLASSIC – Just a simple go-to denim skirt and tee is brought to 2o20 with these boots. That’s what I love about shoes: grab a couple on-trend options each season and suddenly your basics have new life.

If you can, grab a skirt with a front slit like this one, I think it would be even better for this look! Skirt (old Gap) // Tee // Bracelet // Watch // Ring // Boots

TRENDY – I’ve seen this combo a few times on my favorite fashionistas and was stoked to create my own version for Fall! All of these pieces play with volume and shape in such a cool way, it has military vibes without being too blatant. Bonus every single piece is a big Fall trend in its own right! Shoulder pad tee // Paper bag Pants // Boots // Chain // Lip

FEMININE – I love a monochromatic look, especially in Fall and Winter when the color palettes are so rich! Just grab pieces in a similar hue with different textures and you’ve got yourself a chic little get-up. Top (old Asos) – would be so pretty with this turtleneck // Skirt // Boots // Lip // ChainFall Trends 2020 | Small Fry

EDGY – Leather on leather is another big trend for Fall and I love showing leg with these boots. It helps soften it up a bit. Dress // Boots // Beanie (old Zara)Fall Trends 2020. | Small Fry
