Sweet Corn Pizza

Sponsored by Full Circle Foods. I tried my friend Lisa’s Sweet Corn Salad recipe a few weeks ago and I kept thinking how good it would be in a pizza format! Nothing artificial (sweeteners, dyes, flavors or preservatives) No high fructose corn syrup or hydrogenated oils. No antibiotics or steroids in their meat or dairy. new pantry rules

Sponsored by Rubbermaid, as always all thoughts are my own! Find more posts and ideas like these on their site! A quick refresher: the town we are moving to has no stoplights, gas stations, or stores of any kind! So once we move this summer, quick trips to the store aren’t going be so quick anymore. Now we’re only looking at about 20 minutes to the store so nothing TOO crazy but I am actually super excited at the prospect! To ease myself into this new life since so much will be changing so quickly, I have been focusing on … Read more

how do you hero?

This post is sponsored by Revolution Foods, all opinions are my own! Win a month’s supply of breakfasts, lunch and dinners here! Everyone, say hi to Cal Frame. Please tell me you have kids that make this face when you try to give them nourishment that can’t be purchased at a gas station? Cal is far and away my pickiest eater – he is my only picky eater in fact. He has a gag reflex thing and he gets seriously grossed out (like sick to his stomach) by certain smells. On top of which he might have inherited my hypoglycemia. If … Read more

4 Greek Yogurt Dips for Parties

This post is sponsored by Dannon. All thoughts and opinions are my own. By now you’ve probably caught on to my hostessing M.O.: let them do it! I love having something interactive for guests to do and that usually involves the food. Making their own drink, choosing what goes on their kebab, or in today’s case making their own dip for crudite or fruit! The Dannon® Greek Yogurt line Oikos® (grab a coupon here!) has a huge selection of yogurt flavors, including their Triple Zero line (zero added sugar, zero artificial sweeteners, 0% fat) so guests can gauge how they want to … Read more

lemonade bar!

Lemonade Bar

As promised here is the mixology for the lemonade bar I posted yesterday! This is such a fun one to have while hostessing. Its early enough in the party that I always welcome the distraction for guests while I get last things prepared.=PEACH RASPBERRY – Screams summer doesn’t it? Just mash peach puree and raspberry puree and add a heaping teaspoon or less of each (this is for a 6 ounce cup.) BLUEBERRY MINT – Blueberry always has that minty, herby taste to it so i think these compliment each other well! Just muddle the mint by crushing the leaves to … Read more

That means all the pool days we can handle fairly close to home! With the grill right there it has me thinking about how I can use it to my advantage this Summer! Did you know Red Baron Frozen Pizzas can be grilled? I didn’t either! They wanted to work together as sponsors so we gladly gave it a try at our last after school dip in the pool and I was surprised at how delicious they were!Grilling … Read more

Mini Sliders

It’s officially Spring Break over here for us and to celebrate we’re throwing a BBQ! You’ve seen sliders, but what about mini sliders? We wanted to make something small enough to skewer and these turned out so great! Here’s how we did it. We season 2 pounds of ground beef with a teaspoon of salt and plenty of black pepper. Then we rolled golf-ball sized patties out and stuck them on the grill. Depending on how rare you like them, flip and then remove. We used hot dog buns and cut them in half. The flat end makes it so easy … Read more
